Fairy tales are a special style of writing, and a refreshed look at some familiar fairy tale friends made this book incredibly unique and special for our little girl. The Azula’s story and one of their stuffed friends, Ollie, helped shift Margaret’s perspective on the dentist, teeth, and honestly mouth health in general! Since she hasn’t even turned 3 yet I consider this emotional/mental shift to be a huge deal. She now enjoys brushing her teeth, talking to Ollie when she gets up in the AM, and loves bringing Ollie during errands to show Ollie off to friends and strangers.

These three friends assist the Tooth Fairy when she needs help the most – during a storm when flying was difficult for her fairy wings! I won’t spoil the story, but I will say that these three gentle monsters teach little ones lessons, have a good giggle, and go on an amazing adventure together.

You may wonder… a TOOTH pillow? When I heard this concept, I was thrilled. The only thing Margaret got when her tooth was pulled due to an injury (a pretty traumatic experience… which is why this book and Ollie have been saints in our home) was a tiny little plastic ‘treasure chest’ which was not the fun kind of thing for a tooth to hide in for the Tooth Fairy to locate in the middle of the night. A tooth pillow, however, is a game changer. Easy to locate and snuggly-cuddly.
