How Far Along? 28 weeks

Week 28 Began: Friday, December 23

Size of Baby: size of large eggplant (14.8″, 2.25 pounds)

Gender: A girl, Margaret

Weight Gain: Finally hitting some strides here with weight gain! I’m up at about 10 pounds gained now.

Maternity Clothes: Loving my cozy long sleeves sweater dresses I got earlier this year with my suede boots. Big fan of some oversized sweaters and some of my Grandpapa’s cardigans I took on, perfect layering when tops won’t button anymore!

Nursery: Nothing here other than confirming that we definitely love the paint color we chose. Everything else will wait until after Christmas.

Movement: Kicking and movement is consistent but not uncomfortable.

Symptoms: backache, abdominal aches and pains.

Side Effects: Itchy stomach. I use this awesome moisturizing oil from Eminence to keep it in check – a local dayspa in RVA sells it but here it is on Amazon in case you want to check it out.

Sleep: Harder to fall back asleep when I go to sleep. Having foam ear plugs, eye mask, and a noise machine going helps… as well as the Boppy wedge pillow!

Cravings: Sushi. Chocolate peanut butter everything. I mean it… everything!

What I Miss: Sushi.

Best Moment This Week: Holidays with the family – back in Lex – but with M and all kinds of fun happy memories.

What I Learned This Week: That women in my family have given birth both early and REALLY late. So it will be fun to see where Margaret falls in relation to the due date!

Looking Forward To: Getting nursery organized in the new year – we got a stroller, crib and the car seat for Christmas gifts!
