“Our Trusty and Well-Beloved Catherine” — I do not remember Diana’s being this personal when she and Charles were married… does anyone else? Did that one even become public back in 1981?
The million dollar question..I don't think she will disappoint..she has wonderful modern but elegant taste and she knows the world is watching. I know we will be happy and pleased!
I think she will pick something elegant. Not as spectacular as Diana, but more understated. Either way, she will set the bar for decades!
No, I don't remember the Queen referring to Diana so affectionately but this circumstance is so completely different. I think lessons were learned in the way Diana was treated. Number one, I think William was very, very careful in making sure that Kate was ready to take on the royal duties. And of course, Kate is a full 10 years older than Diana was.
I'm soooooooooooooo excited for this! I remember watching Diana and Charles get married when I was little (yep, I'm THAT old) and I was in awe. I wanted to host a little party for the big day but why oh why do they have to get married early on a Friday?!
And I can't wait to see her dress, but I'm thinking it's going to be very elegant and a little on the reserved side. Not a pouf in sight 🙂
