Vera Bradley

I love the overly patterned, cotton washing-machine-friendly goodness that is Vera Bradley.

While my passion has certainly waned a bit since my Freshman year of college in 2003, or even when I was in boarding school before that… I still like the comfy goodness that is Vera Bradley when I go grocery shopping or am bumming around Charlottesville. The purses are great when you don’t want to be handed yet another plastic bag, just stick something in a Vera Bradley!

Here are some of my current favorites:

The Frannie, in Very Berry Paisley:

The Side-By-Side Tote in Make Me Blush:

The Weekender in Symphony in Hue: (I have the laptop case in this pattern)

The Gabby in Imperial Toile:

The Metropolitan in Blue Rhapsody:

Now, I am not one of those Vera Bradley people who collects things in a certain pattern, but I’d love to know what products you all have by this brand! Or do you think it is too juvenile for you?

  1. I used to love Vera Bradley so much when I was in college, but over the past several years, I've gotten out of it. It seems to me like the quality has gone down and the price has gone up. Also, the patterns are not what they once were. I still use all of my “old school” Vera Bradley. I have a Large Cosmetic in Apple Green that I always use when traveling and all of my travel pieces are in New Hope.

  2. I never really got into Vera Bradley, because my mom makes bags (and she would have been hurt if I'd bought a bag she could make!). However, I love the Vera Bradley patterns; they're so fun and upbeat. I also think the shapes of the bags are very useful. I love the first one you showed!

  3. @Preppy Girl: I agree about the price. I never buy Vera pieces at full price. Never ever. I always get them on sale. And I LOVE my old school Vera Bradley. I hate having a perfectly good pattern being retired. Definitely bothers me!!

  4. Love my weekender! Use it all the time. I feel like I have outgrown a lot of my purses…but I still use all the luggage, makeup bags, garmet bag, etc.
I also still carry the backpacks from time to time because they're practical and allow me to go hands free while attending an event, shopping, traveling, etc.
Vera is still to this day the only laptop bag I will carry. I can't find a better one. I love the handles, long strap and many interior pockets. Not to mention they are very roomy and I can usually pack books, pens, paper, etc in there when I'm on the go. 🙂
